Heishui Hope Window: This is a philanthropy web site dedicated to minister the poverty-stricken people in Heishui County of Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Principality in Northwest Sichuan, as well as to raise fund to send the Children dropped out of school back to education.

Creators of Heishui Hope Window: We are a voluntary group consisting of volunteering university students and office worker in Chengdu, China. We are busy with our own work and studies and can only use our rather limited spare time to develop and maintain this website. It took us more than a whole summer to build the Chinese version. We will translate the site into English and Interlingua as soon as we have time. Hopefully, we are going to present versions in these two languages early next year. Heishui Tibetan Autonomous County, with an area of 4,355 kmē and a population of 57,000, lies at the center of Aba Tibetan Autonomous Principality, the junction of Minshan and Qionglai Mountains. Situated 280 away from Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province and the base camp of tourists heading for Tibetan areas in Sichuan and Tibet, Heishui boasts its inclusion in Greater Jiuzhai International Tourism Core Zone. With 92.8% of its residents being Tibetan, Heishui is a typical Tibetan-predominated county. The cultural make-up of Heishui is unique in China, with the majority of Tibetans in the county speaking a Qiang dialect. According to local folk legend, they are the descendants of ancient Qiang people, a most prominent nation in pre-Zhou China.

With relatively moderate altitude and climate, Heishui boasts plentiful natural tourism resources, with a integrate set of tourist scenic spots, including natural wonders such as Spring Ice Lake, Bashili Dell--world's largest and most colorful polychromatic forest, embedded in Naizi Valley, three-Ao snow mountain--Tibetan nation's holy mountain, Dagu Glacier--one of world's rarely-found contemporary glaciers, in addition to unique cultural attractions such as Selghu Tibetan stockade village, an extraordinary combination of Tibetan and Qiang cultural elements. Heishui is always ready to attract tourists, with its ice lake in the spring, glacier in the summer, polychoromatic forest in the fall and snow mountain in the winter.

Heishui doesn't only satisfy your eyes but your mouth. In this paradise of mountainous provisions, you can enjoy delicious wild fruits, vegetables and nuts such as Sibos and Chemala. Don't worry about accommodation. Heishui can accommodate 1,200 tourists at the same time. There are plenty of hostels and high-standard hotels. You can even live in local Tibetan households. Buy a Tibetan dress, change in, bound into the local dance and games and find yourself submersed in the rustic Tibetan congregation and mysterious civilization.
